MainStreet Media Group buys Sentinel publications

Hansen Publishing Inc., owner of Ramona Sentinel, Ramona Sentinel Magazine, Ramona Lifestyles, San Diego Equine Exchange, and Super Save Coupons has been sold to MainStreet Media Group LLC of Gilroy, Calif. The sale was executed on Monday, Oct. 16, 2006.
Ramona Sentinel was purchased by Keith and Patricia Hansen on July 1, 2001, from Wayne and Jacquie Green.
The Ramona Sentinel has been Ramona’s newspaper since 1886.
MainStreet Media Group LLC president Anthony A. Allegretti announced the acquisition on Monday, noting that Publisher Keith Hansen and the newspaper’s staff will remain in place.
“I am excited about the potential that is made available to the Sentinel, its employees, and the community as a result of joining forces with MainStreet,” Hansen said following the sale.
“MainStreet brings significant clout to the future growth of this community’s newspaper,” said Hansen.
The acquisition of the Sentinel was brokered by David Gauger of Gauger Media Services of Raymond, Wash.
